Metro, is Los Angeles county bus system, and provides one of the least expensive ways to get around for both locals and visitors in the Greater LA area.
Los Angeles spans a widely diverse geographic area. The county of Los Angeles alone is 4,081 square miles. In addition to the Metro Rail, Metro also operates Metro Busways, Metro Express, Metro Rapid, Metro Shuttles and circulators and Metro Local and Limited. Besides the Metro Buses, there are also numerous Municipal Bus Operators in the LA metropolitan area.

Bus Service to Downtown LA Subway Stations
Sunday service operates on the following holidays:

Public Buses are available at the LAX Transit Center at 96th Street and Sepulveda Boulevard, adjacent to Parking Lot C, which can be reached by boarding LAX Shuttle buses marked C-96th Street under the blue sign LAX Shuttle-Airline Connection
The Transit Center serves Los Angeles Metro, Culver City Bus Lines, Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, and Torrance Transit.
TAP is a card with a smart chip that allows you to ride seamlessly across Los Angeles County. All fares can be pre-paid by loading a pass or Stored Valued (cash) on a TAP card and then tapping each time you board. On buses you can also pay for a single ride with a token or cash using exact change.
Note: New TAP cards are $1 at TAP vending machines and onboard buses, or $2 at pass vendor locations. Reduced Fares(Senior, Disabled/Medicare, College/Vocational, and Student K-12) on Metro Rail are only valid when loaded on a special TAP card. Must have a special TAP card to receive reduced fare price. One card per rider is required. Cards are non-transferable.
