Q. What is the best way to dress for a day at the Parks? Is there any clothing that isn't permissible?

A. The Parks are a casual, family-oriented environment. We suggest you dress comfortably, wear good walking shoes and check the local weather report before you leave for the Parks. Attire that is not appropriate for the Theme Parks (and which may result in refusal of admittance) includes, but is not limited to:

Adult costumes or clothing that can be viewed as an actual character
Masks (unless you are dressing up for a particular event)
Easily visible obscene or objectionable language or graphics
Excessively torn clothing
Clothing with objectionable material
Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment

Q. Are there any personal items I should not bring with me into the Theme Parks?

Items that you may not bring into the Theme Parks include, but are not limited to:

Items with wheels, such as wagons, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, two-wheeled or three-wheeled conveyances, strollers larger than 36" x 52", suitcases, coolers, or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations), and any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV wheelchair or stroller
Alcoholic beverages

Q. When is the best day to visit any Southern California Theme Park?

A. The best day of the week to visit most theme parks is Monday to Thursday when the park has the lowest attendance. If you must visit on a weekend, Sunday is the best day for the lowest crowds. The most important theme park touring tip to avoid crowds is to arrive as early as possible. Long lines usually won't form until at least 1-2 hours after park opening.

Q. Are there any discounts on theme park admission?

A. There are lots of ways to get discount theme parks tickets. The easiest and most expensive way is to walk up and buy them at the entrance. This is something you want to avoid whenever possible. Here are ways to get theme park tickets for less than the ticket price.

Q. How can I beat Southern California theme park food prices?

A. Southern California theme park food prices are outrageously high and the theme parks have gone out of their way to make sure you pay those prices. Most theme parks do not allow food or drinks to be brought in from outside but here are a few things you can do.
1) Make sure that your budget includes purchasing water and look out for the water fountains.
2) Make sure everyone has a good breakfast before you leave for the park. This will help you save some money.
3) Consider storing some lunch in your car. Around lunchtime, you can take a trip to your car for a quick bite. Make sure you get your hand stamped so you can return to the park. Click here for more tips.
