The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority — commonly referred to as Metro or MTA is the primary regional public transportation agency in Los Angeles County. The Metro system covers a staggering 37,100 square kilometres with more than 200 Metro Bus lines and six rail lines, including both subway and light-rail trains, making it one of the largest public transit systems in the United States.
