A good way to avoid long lines at a popular ride is to get to the gate before the park opens, have your route plotted, be among the first in the door and make a beeline for that famous coaster before the crowds arrive. Click here for more tips

Theme park admission for a family can easily run into the hundreds of dollars, so look for discounts. Sometimes coupons appear on milk cartons and soda cans; check Web sites for printable coupons, discount days-deals for senior citizens or two-for-ones. Directions to Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal City is located just north of downtown Los Angeles.

From The Los Angeles International Airport
Follow signs from the terminal to the 105 Freeway. Take the 105 Freeway East to the 110 Harbor Freeway North. After passing through the downtown area, get on the 101 Hollywood Freeway North. Follow the 101 Freeway to the Universal Studios Blvd. exit. Turn right on to Universal Studios Blvd. and follow the signs to Universal Studios and our parking areas.

From Hollywood
Take the 101 Hollywood Freeway North to Universal Studios Blvd. and follow signs to Universal Studios Hollywood.

From Santa Monica
Take the 10 Santa Monica Freeway East to the 405 Freeway North. Exit to the 101 Ventura Freeway East/South. (Signs to Los Angeles.) Continue on the 101 Freeway and exit on Lankershim Blvd. Turn right and follow the signs to Universal Studios Hollywood.

From Anaheim (Disneyland / Knotts Berry Farm)
Take the 5 Golden State Freeway North. Exit to the 101 Hollywood Freeway North. Continue on the 101 Freeway and exit at Universal Studios Blvd.. Turn right on to Universal Studios Blvd. and follow the signs to Universal Studios and our parking areas.
