San Diego Embarcadero

 

The San Diego Embarcadero is the waterfront area of downtown San Diego porpularly known as the "Big Bay" This area is very popular with tourists and locals alike. The San Diego Embarcadero is a year round visitors destination with lots to see and do.

 

Without stopping the Embarcadero is about a 20 minute walk from one point to the other. But with all the activities along the route, it can actually take 3 hours to complete. Directions to San Diego Embarcadero

 

From the North:

 

Interstate 5, Southbound : Exit Front Street. Turn right (west) on Ash Street. When you get to Harbor Drive, you will be at the north end of the Embarcadero

 

From 163, Southbound : Turn right (west) on Ash Street. When you get to Harbor Drive, you will be at the north end of the Embarcadero

 

From the South:

 

Interstate 5, Northbound : Exit Hawthorne, heading west toward San Diego Bay. When you get to Harbor Drive, turn left (south). Proceed 3/8 mile to the northern start of the Embarcadero at the Maritime Museum of San Diego.
