Los Angeles Westside Attractions

 

The area considered the Westside of Los Angeles are the communities located off the stretch of Interstate 405, between the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), to the Sepulveda pass as you approach the San Fernando Valley.

 

Among the communities on the westside of Los Angeles is Culver City, Santa Monica, Brentwood and landmarks like the Sony Pictures, Culver Studios, Fox Studios, Pepperdine University, UCLA, and Loyola Marymount University.

 

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

LAXConsidered the the sixth busiest airport in the world for passengers, the Los Angeles International Airport is the gateway to Southern California. Whether you flew in domestically or internationally, there is a good chance you came into Southern California from LAX.

Getty Museum

Getty MuseumThe J. Paul Getty Museum is a modern hilltop fortress that houses a few of the finest art collections in the world. The Museum itself is a stunning architectural showcase that's worth a visit even if you’re not interested in the art. With ocean and city views from a hilltop in the Santa Monica Mountains. The view is simply breath-taking.

The Museum is free, but parking is $7 per car. Bike and motorcycle parking is free. Metro Bus 761 stops at the main gate.

Developed in the 1920's, Westwood Village has always been a great place to visit. Nested next to the UCLA Campus, Westwood Village boosts a variety of eateries, shops, a movie theater and the Hammer Museum.
